Intention — How You Move Matters

Purpose gives you direction.

But direction alone isn’t enough.

You can know what matters.
You can know who you are.
You can know what you’re trying to build.

And still move through your day in a way that works against all of it.

That’s where intention comes in.

Intention is what decides how you move.

Not just what you do.
How you do it.

And in Real Raw Recovery, that comes back to the same foundation:

Choice.
Responsibility.
Power.

Because intention is built through all three.

It starts with Choice.

What you give your attention to.
What you entertain.
What you allow to shape your day.

Most people move unconsciously.
Intention begins the moment you choose otherwise.

Then comes Responsibility.

Not just for what happens.
For how you respond.
For the energy you bring.
For the tone you set.
For the way you carry yourself when life gets chaotic.

That’s where intention becomes real.

And then comes Power.

Not force.
Not control.

Power is the ability to move with awareness
instead of impulse.

To pause.
To choose.
To respond with purpose
instead of reacting out of habit.

That’s real power.

Because at this stage, it’s not enough to have goals.
It’s not enough to have values.
It’s not enough to know your purpose.

The question becomes:

Does the way I move reflect what I say matters?

That’s intention.

Not doing more.

Doing things on purpose.

How you start your day.
How you speak to people.
How quickly you react.
What gets your attention.
What gets your energy.
What gets access to you.

That’s all intention.

And most people don’t realize how much of their life is being shaped by what they do unconsciously.

That’s where the work is.

Not just in your habits.

In your awareness.

Because once you become intentional, everything changes.

You stop moving impulsively.
You stop reacting to everything.
You stop giving your energy to things that don’t deserve it.

You become more deliberate.
More aware.
More selective.

You make better choices.
You take cleaner responsibility.
You move with more power.

And that changes everything.

You speak with more purpose.
You protect your peace better.
You respond instead of react.
You stop drifting through your day and start directing it.

That’s what intention does.

It turns purpose into practice.

It turns awareness into action.

It turns Choice into direction.
Responsibility into discipline.
Power into peace.

That’s the shift.

Not just having values.

Moving like they matter.

Reflective Questions

Where have you been moving without intention?

What has been getting your energy that no longer deserves it?

Are your choices reinforcing your peace… or disrupting it?

What changes when you take responsibility for how you move?

What becomes possible when your power is guided by intention?

With intention,
Mike
